THE father of a 23-year-old commercial bus driver, who was allegedly shot dead by a police guard for picking passenger at the Effurun roundabout park of Goddy Agofure Transport Company, Mr. Matthew Eruotor, has called on police authorities to ensure his son’s killer was speedily prosecuted.
The bus driver, Ese Eruotor, was shot dead at the DSC roundabout by a police sergeant, identified as Doctor Ogheneovo, last week Friday.
Findings revealed that the suspect, who had since been arrested by the police in Ebrumede area of Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, had been transferred to the state police command for further interrogation.

Matthew Eruotor while decrying the manner his son was allegedly killed for mere offence of picking passenger near the transport outfit, stressed that his son’s killer and accomplices must not go scot free.
The father to the deceased, who spoke on the phone with Southern city News, also blamed the transport company, where the policeman was attached for the killing.
An eyewitness, Akpokona James, had told Southern City News that the police sergeant pursued the suspect from the spot of the incident to the DSC roundabout, where the suspect opened fire on the bus driver.
The state Police Commissioner, Celestina Kalu, confirmed the arrest and subsequent transfer of the suspect to the state Command in Asaba for further interrogation.
