A national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and governors Aminu Tambuwal, Seriake Dickson, Abubakar Bello of Sokoto, Bayelsa and Niger states respectively, have enjoined Muslims to pay attention to and emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad.
Tinubu, in his goodwill message issued by his Media Office, pointed out that love, peaceful co-existence and sacrifice were the virtues that Muhammad was known for.
The former Lagos State governor also condemned the recent suicide bombings in Madagali, Adamawa State and Maiduguri in Borno State by Boko Haram sect, saying it was regrettable and hurtful to see hundreds of people lose their lives needlessly.

Tinubu appealed to Nigerians to join force with the Federal Government to tackle the challenges facing the country, including economic recession and insurgency.
“These dastardly acts against innocent lives must be condemned and those behind it brought to justice. That is what we all should be about and united over, to bring these attacks to an end.
“On this, I stand united with President Muhammadu Buhari in his concerted effort to restore security to the North-East and other parts of Nigeria,” Tinubu said.
Tambuwal, while speaking on Monday at an event to celebrate the Maulud Nabiyy, organised by the state’s chapter of the Islamic Shababul Qadiriya Movement, called on Nigerians to pray for the country as “fervent prayers remain the only solution to the nation’s woes.”
The governor, who was represented by the state’s Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Alhaji Mani Katami, said “prayers should be intensified by all Nigerians, irrespective of religious, political or ethnic differences.”
Tambuwal solicited the support of Nigerians to the ongoing anti-corruption fight by President Buhari, saying that corruption was abhorred by both Islam and Christianity.
Dickson also on Monday urged Muslims across the country to imbibe the attributes of love, forgiveness and showing mercy to all as preached by Prophet Muhammad.
The governor in a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, urged Muslims to continually preach peace and mutual co-existence among different religious groups in the country.
Meanwhile, the Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Bello, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in the state on this year’s celebration of Maulud.
